I don't really know what I'm doing here... I find blogging intimidating because I've always worried a bit too much about what other people think. I don't have the best writing skills and I'm not really all that funny (well, sometimes I think I am, but thinking this probably makes me even less funny). Recent events in my life have helped me decide to say "screw it" to that mentality. Life is short. It's time to try new things even if it's a little scary. So here I am :)
I highly doubt many will read this who don't already know me and my life story for the most part. But just for fun, here's me in a nutshell: grew up on Vashon Island, moved to LA (Santa Monica) for 6 years, married my Michael in July of 2006, moved back to Seattle in March of 2007, bought a house last July, live in my house with my Michael and my sweet/crazy pup named Steve.
I recently realized that I need and desire more meaning in my life. I'm not sure what that means, but I figured I should start a blog so that maybe I can mention some of my more "meaningful" experiences. Hopefully this blog will capture important moments for me and my family. Entries that I can look back on and retrace my path to a more enriched, fulfilling life.
It's very likely it will be filled with funny Steve stories though.
Only time will tell :)

I love it that we're both Bloggy Bloggersons. And I think that, no matter what, I'm gonna love reading your blog becuase: a) You ARE a good writer and b) You're hilarious, and as if that weren't already enough, c) Steve stories are the best!!!

Well I think this calls for the dance of joy or at the very least a rousing game of Lummi sticks. I will look forward to reading about the ways you find to enrich your life. Hmmm, a baby might do it. Oops, don't let Steve read that part. I love Stevie stories too.

Hailey, I saw that Sarah had your blog as a link on her blog and I couldn't wait to see what you were up to and how you were doing. You look great as always, and you are a great writer! Remember that poem you wrote me? I'm sure I have in a box in our storage unit, that I can't wait to unpack, once we have more room. I thought that was the best poem I'd ever read! Love ya girl, and we really have to get together for lunch. After Monday I'm off from work until the 7th. What days are good for you?

Dude, will you PLEASE come up with some inspiration to write something so I can give you props too?? Oh, thanks for the props, by the way. Alex enjoyed his props as well. Arabella doesn't understand props yet... and neither do I, really, but I like giving and receiving them!
